The practical information you need to know

To best prepare for your visit to the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, it is important to be aware of our various policies in Montreal and Toronto to make your time at the tournament as safe and enjoyable as possible.

WHAT WE'RE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Again this year, we will be implementing several security measures, in accordance with municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. As such, all ticketholders are subject to security measures before entering the sites.

Tips for faster stadium entry:

  • Be cooperative with staff members and volunteers
  • Arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the start of play
  • Leave unnecessary items at home or in your vehicle.
  • Be prepared to have your bag inspected & to walk through a metal detector
  • Please advise security staff if you should not be screened by a metal detector for medical reasons.

Code of conduct

All of us at Tennis Canada want your National Bank Open presented by Rogers experience to be highly entertaining and memorable. Each fan plays a key role in making the experience enjoyable for everyone. We want you to have fun and be safe while you are here. We also want you to leave happy and looking forward to coming back! With this in mind, all ticket holders are expected to comply with the following Code of Conduct for Montreal and Toronto.

  • Shirts and footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Clothing and accessories with improper, inappropriate or offensive messages or images are prohibited.
  • The use of foul, abusive, offensive or inappropriate language or gestures and inappropriate behaviour that creates a disruptive atmosphere for other guests are prohibited.
  • Access to the playing surface of any court is prohibited.
  • Alcoholic beverages must be consumed legally and responsibly. Starting in 2024, alcohol sales will stop at 11 PM.
  • The use of fan- or user-based video streaming applications and video recording devices to record on-court action or activities is prohibited.
  • Ticket holders must show their ticket upon request and only sit in their designated seat, where applicable.
  • Ticket holders must follow instructions from Tennis Canada staff regarding event operations and emergency procedures.
  • Umbrellas must remain closed during play.
  • National Bank Open presented by Rogers is a smoke-free environment. Refrain from smoking or vaping.
  • Do not demonstrate or advocate for a particular political cause in any way.

Restricted Actions

The following actions are restricted on the Grounds and are subject to ejection:

  • Ambush marketing of any kind including unauthorized commercial or promotional activities; attempting to distribute leaflets, pamphlets, non-approved publications, wearable items or premium giveaways; attempting to create an unauthorized brand affinity or presence; and unauthorized selling or possessing items with intent to sell.
  • Smoking (including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, hookahs, marijuana and chewing tobacco)
  • Disruptive or dangerous behavior that disturbs spectators, including public drunkenness, fighting, gambling, spitting and threatening behavior exhibited toward any games spectators, workforce or participants.
  • Use of unauthorized radio frequency devices that have not been previously registered and coordinated for use at that venue with Industry Canada.

The National Bank Open presented by Rogers reserves the right for its authorized employees, agents, contractors, and police officers to remove from the grounds any person who contravenes the above “Conditions of Entry to the Grounds” and any person whose presence and/or behaviour in the grounds could reasonably be construed as dangerous, a nuisance, or annoyance to any other person in the grounds without compensation.

The National Bank Open Conditions of Entry are subject to change. Therefore, fans are advised to re-check the Conditions of Entry in the days prior to their visit.

TENNIS ETIQUETTE

It is important to be aware of the simple rules that apply to all spectators and that differentiate Tennis from the other major sports.

  • Whether you're seated on a court at Sobeys Stadium or IGA Stadium, please remain in your seat until the end of play and only leave your seat during a player changeover.
  • In addition, please refrain from making noise during play.
  • If prompted, please cooperate with any staff and follow their directions.
